Installation Instructions
Step 1 - Remove the Splash Guard
Start underneath the vehicle and use a 7mm socket to remove seven bolts, a 10mm socket to remove one bolt, and a trim removal tool to remove two plastic push clips. Once all fasteners are removed, set the splash guard aside.
Step 2 - Access the Reverse Lamp
With the splash guard removed, use a 7mm socket to remove four bolts from the rear bumper. Behind the OEM reverse light, disconnect the factory connector. Next, use a 7mm socket to remove the four bolts securing the reverse light in place and carefully set the light aside.
Step 3 - Install the Form Lighting Reverse Lamp
Install the new reverse lamp using the factory hardware. Reconnect the factory reverse light connector to the Form Lighting reverse lamp and ensure it is securely fastened.
Step 4 - Route the Wiring
Open the trunk and remove the spare tire floor cover. Unscrew the four bag hangers to remove the plastic trunk trim. Use a trim removal tool to remove two post clips securing the trunk carpet, then fold the carpet back to access both tail lights.
Disconnect the factory tail light connectors. Remove the drain plug near the spare tire and route the wiring from the reverse lamp up through the hole. Connect the included harness labeled "L" to the driver’s side tail light and the harness labeled "R" to the passenger’s side tail light.
For the static or strobing brake light function, connect or disconnect the AMP connector on the harness. Plug the harness into the reverse lamp and reinstall the drain plug.
Step 5 - Test and Reassemble
Test all functions to ensure proper operation, including the reverse light, running light, and fourth brake light. Once everything is functioning correctly, use zip ties to secure any loose wiring and reverse the steps to reinstall the removed components.
